Ground handling provider SATS and freight forwarder Sinotrans will work together to add a series of new air cargo hubs.

The companies said the partnership will see them create gateway hubs in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia and Belgium for Sinotrans' air freight arm Sinotrans Group.

Sinoair currently has scheduled charter operations between China, Liege and Dubai International Airport and hopes to expand further to other parts of the world.

The two parties are also in talks for SATS to manage Sinoair’s new e-commerce center in Hangzhou, China, which is expected to be completed in 2026.

“This MoU will pave the way for both companies to create long-term sustainable value for their respective stakeholders by working together at some of the world’s busiest and most important airports,” the new partners said.

Bob Chi, CEO of SATS Gateway Services, said: “We look forward to working with Sinoair to leverage our respective networks to provide customers with enhanced global connectivity to and from China, which has one of the fastest growing air transport industries in the world, to cities around the world.”

Liu Yong, General Manager of Sinotrans Air Cargo, added: “Sinotrans and SATS work together to provide customers with excellent operational services. We look forward to working with SATS to further enhance global air transportation capabilities through our extensive network resources.”
